Story
Charles, a retired man, finds a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes a spy in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”. A remake of El Agente Topo (2020). I think a lot of fiction is naturally intended to make you think something like, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This show undeniably achieves that goal. Even those who come for the mystery, which has allowed for less focus, should be charmed by the humanity that shines through not only in the writing, but also in the performances of all the cast members. Kudos to all departments involved. While Netflix has been tough on renewing series lately, I hope they realize the potential of this show by giving it a second season, because I hope to see more journeys from these incredible characters.
