A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a go-between between exploration companies and landowners. Landowners’ jobs are typically to negotiate and negotiate contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. They essentially manage the land and secure leases so they can extract oil and gas. As foremen on the job, they build roads, worker dormitories (camp), oversee the assembly of excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part of the Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator.. Referenced on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). For someone so focused on his goals, the inclusion of an emotionally unstable one-woman circus completely undermines the show’s purpose. Her character seems to detract from the central narrative, adding unnecessary chaos rather than supporting its journey. The portrayal doesn’t enhance the plot, but rather makes it difficult to take his determination and focus seriously. Similarly, the roles of his wife and daughter are out of place in the show. The wife comes across as emotionally erratic, while the daughter seems to lack intellectual depth, making her contributions to the plot negligible. The daughter’s portrayal feels particularly shallow, with her character offering little engagement beyond a surface level that adds no value to the story. Furthermore, having these characters constantly strut around in provocative clothing, seemingly for no other purpose than to attract attention, strikes me as inconsistent with the tone of the show. Rather than enhancing the plot or character’s momentum, this approach comes off as a superficial attention-grabbing tactic. It’s a strange and unnecessary addition that detracts from the overall quality of the storytelling.
