Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE NEEDLE GIRL follows Caroline (Vick Carmen Sonne), a young factory worker struggling to survive in post-war Copenhagen. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned, and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a charismatic woman who runs an illegal adoption agency, helping mothers find foster homes for their unwanted children. With no one else to turn to, Caroline takes on the role of a nurse. A strong bond develops between the two women, but Caroline’s world is shattered when she stumbles upon the shocking truth behind her job.
