Featured in Jeremy Vine: Episode #5195 (2022)
Eve Hewson (Becka) is the daughter of U2’s Bono. Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and the brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson.
After watching Sharon Horgan in the series Catastrophe, I respect and admire her writing, comedy and acting so much that I now watch everything she does
Bad Sisters is wickedly funny, brilliantly written, brilliantly acted and brilliantly directed and just all around intelligent and so human – for better or for worse, that it’s immediately noticeable. There is no real violence, no car crashes, no special effects, it’s all very human, the real drama and the agony of what some people do to others is tempered by hilarious circumstances and comedy.
I love this show
John Paul, the abusive husband of one sister, nicknamed “The Bastard” by all the sisters, is written and played so wonderfully and diabolically that I don’t know if I’ll ever see this actor in anything else without him. I blame him for hating that he’s so bad in such a banal role.
The two minutes you watch him call his wife “mommy”
honestly it’s just annoying because it’s so realistic that you want to kill him yourself or make sure he dies. This show walks the fine line between comedy, drama and tragedy so perfectly that I have to give it a 10/10.
